CMS ITU Training Event

Richmond, VA | June 25-26, 2019

In partnership with Indian Health Service, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is committed to helping the Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal Health Programs, and Urban Indian Programs to maximize their ability to access third-party resources. To meet this objective, CMS, in partnership with the States, the Veterans Administration, the Social Security Administration, and the IHS, provides training to patient benefits advocates on the programs and benefits available through Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Health Insurance Marketplace.

All attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.

To make reservations, please call (804) 643-5400 and reference the CMS/ITU room block to receive the federal per diem rate of $147 plus tax per night. Reservations should be made by Friday, May 24, 2019, to ensure the rate mentioned above. Reservations at the Hampton Inn & Suites Richmond are on your own and subject to hotel availability and pricing.

Ground Transportation

Driving Directions from Richmond International Airport (RIC): Hampton Inn & Suites Richmond – Downtown is located approximately 10 miles from the Richmond International Airport (RIC).

Hotel Parking: Complimentary hotel parking

Taxis: The approximate taxi fare from RIC to the hotel is approximately $40.00. 

Hotel Shuttle: The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service (between 8:30 am – 5:00 pm), from BIL.  However, the shuttle is based on availability and not guaranteed. Please call (406) 248-1011 to schedule a ride.  

Driving Directions from Richmond International Airport: Take I-64 West to Exit 190, merge onto I-95 South. On I-95 South take Exit 74A onto I-195 the (toll road). Take the Canal Street Exit and pay the toll ($0.30). Turn right onto 10th Street. Turn left on Main Street. The hotel will be on the right.
