CMS ITU Training Event

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is committed to helping the Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal Health Programs, and Urban Indian Programs (ITU) to maximize their ability to access third party resources. To meet this objective, CMS, in partnership with the States, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Social Security Administration, the Office of the Inspector General, and IHS, provides training to patient benefits advocates on the programs and benefits available through Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Health Insurance Marketplace.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Region X and the Portland Area Indian Health Board invite you to the 2020 CMS Outreach & Education Event in Seattle, WA on Tuesday, March 31st and Wednesday, April 1st, 2020.

Travel Arrangements

All attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. To make reservations, please call 425-454-588 and reference the CMS/ITU room block to receive the Federal government per diem rate of $184 plus tax per night.  Or click here to make reservations online.  Reservations should be made by Tuesday, February 25, 2020. If you are flying into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) you have several options for ground transportation to the Marriott Courtyard Seattle Bellevue Downtown.

Taxis: The approximate taxi fare to the hotel is approximately $50.

Airport Express Shuttle: Shared van/shuttle service is also available at a cost of $19 per person. Please visit the Shuttle Express counter near baggage claim.

Driving Directions (from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport): Follow signs TO FREEWAYS and take Interstate 405 North for 14 miles to exit 13B for NE 8th Street West. Follow the cloverleaf back over the highway and the hotel will be on the right at the intersection of NE 8th Street and 110th Avenue. Contact hotel for additional transportation or directions.
