CMS ITU Training Event

San Diego, CA | February 5-6, 2020

In partnership with Indian Health Service, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is committed to helping the Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal Health Programs, and Urban Indian Programs to maximize their ability to access third party resources.

To meet this objective, CMS, in partnership with the States, the Veterans Administration, the Social Security Administration, and the IHS, provides training to patient benefits advocates on the programs and benefits available through Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Health Insurance Marketplace. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Region IX and the California Area Indian Health Service (IHS) invite you to the 2020 CMS Outreach & Education Event.

Travel Arrangements

All attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. To make reservations, please call 858-277-8888 and reference the CMS/ITU room block to receive the rate of $163 plus tax per night. Reservations should be made by Friday, January 3, 2020 to ensure the rate mentioned above. Reservations at the Four Points by Sheraton San Diego are on your own and subject to hotel availability and pricing.

Ground Transportation

Four Points by Sheraton San Diego, is located approximately 11.5 miles from the San Diego International Airport.  You have several options for ground transportation from the airport to the hotel.

Parking: Hotel Daily Parking is complimentary

Taxis: The approximate taxi fare from SAN to the hotel is $32.00

Shuttle Service: Shuttle vans and buses operated by off-airport companies. Shuttle services are available at the Transportation Plazas across from Terminals 1 and 2 of the San Diego International Airport.  Visit the SAN Airport website for more transportation

Driving Directions from San Diego International Airport (SAN): Turn right onto Winship Lane. Turn left onto N Harbor Drive (1.2 mi). Turn left onto W Grape Street. Take the Interstate 5 S ramp and merge onto I-5 S. Take Exit 16/CA-163 N toward Escondido (5.6 mi). Take Exit 6 for Mesa College Drive toward Kearny Villa Road. Turn right onto Mesa College Drive and continue onto Kearny Villa Road. Turn right onto Aero Drive and make a u-turn at Aero Court. The hotel will be on the right.

Driving Directions from Montgomery Field Airport (MYF): Four Points by Sheraton San Diego, is located approximately .8 miles from the Montgomery Field Airport (MYF).  Head east toward John J Montgomery Drive (148 ft).  Turn left onto John J Montgomery Drive. Turn right onto Aero Drive.  The hotel will be on the right.
