CMS ITU Training Event

Norwich, CT | August 14-15, 2019

In partnership with Indian Health Service, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is committed to helping the Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal Health Programs, and Urban Indian Programs to maximize their ability to access third party resources. To meet this objective, CMS, in partnership with the States, the Veterans Administration, the Social Security Administration, and the IHS, provides training to patient benefits advocates on the programs and benefits available through Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Health Insurance Marketplace.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Regions I and II are jointly sponsoring the 2019 CMS Outreach & Education Event.

All attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.

To make reservations, please call (860) 889-5201 and reference the CMS/ITU room block to receive the federal per diem rate of $89 plus tax per night. Reservations should be made by Friday, August 2, 2019, to ensure the rate mentioned above. Reservations at the Holiday Inn Norwich are on your own and subject to hotel availability and pricing.

Ground Transportation

Driving Directions from Bradley International Airport (BDL): Holiday Inn Norwich is located approximately 52.5 miles from the Bradley International Airport (BDL). The only option from the Bradley International Airport is to rent a car or take a taxi, Uber or Lyft.

Hotel Parking: Complimentary hotel parking

Taxis: The approximate taxi fare from BDL to the hotel is approximately $125.00. It is suggested to take Uber or Lyft as the cost can be cheaper than a taxi.

Driving Directions from Bradley International Airport (BDL): From the Airport take I-91 South, to Exit 30 onto I-84 towards CT-Route 2. Take Exit 55 to merge onto CT-2 East. Take Exit 28 South & merge onto I-395 South, to Exit 11 (Formally exit 80) take right at end of the ramp onto Salem Turnpike. Turn right onto Laura Blvd hotel is on the left.
