CMS ITU Training Event

Navajo (Fort Defiance), AZ | March 24-25, 2020

In partnership with Indian Health Service, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is committed to helping the Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal Health Programs, and Urban Indian Programs to maximize their ability to access third party resources. To meet this objective, CMS, in partnership with the States, the Veterans Administration, the Social Security Administration, and the IHS, provides training to patient benefits advocates on the programs and benefits available through Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Health Insurance Marketplace.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Division of Tribal Affairs (DTA) in conjunction with the Navajo Area Indian Health Service (IHS) invite you to the 2020 CMS Outreach & Education Event.

Parking: Parking at the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority is free.  Please note that you will need to back your car into the parking spaces when you park onsite for the meeting.

Directions: Quality Inn Navajo Nation Capital is 7.4 miles (13 minutes) away from Navajo Tribal Utility Authority. Head south toward AZ-264 W (427 ft.). Turn right toward AZ-264 W (141 ft.). Turn right onto AZ-264 W (0.2 mi). Turn right onto Indian Rte 12 (5.0 mi). Turn right to stay on Indian Rte 12 (2.1 mi).

Travel Arrangements

All attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.

A limited amount of rooms have been placed into a room block and they are on a first come first serve basis.  To make reservations, please call 928-871-4108 and reference the CMS/ITU room block to receive the Federal government per diem rate of $96 plus tax per night.  Reservations should be made by Friday, March 6, 2020.
