In partnership with Indian Health Service, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is committed to helping the Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal Health Programs, and Urban Indian Programs to maximize their ability to access third party resources. To meet this objective, CMS, in partnership with the States, the Veterans Administration, the Social Security Administration, and the IHS, provides training to patient benefits advocates on the programs and benefits available through Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Health Insurance Marketplace.

Travel Arrangements

All attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. To make reservations, please call (816) 741-2300 and reference the CMS/ITU room block to receive the rate of $125 plus tax per night. Reservations should be made by Wednesday, April 10, 2019, to ensure the rate mentioned above. Reservations at the Residence Inn Kansas City Airport are on your own and subject to hotel availability and pricing.

Ground Transportation

Residence Inn Kansas City Airport is located approximately 3.5 miles from the Kansas City International Airport (MCI).  You have several options for ground transportation from the Kansas City International Airport.

Parking: Complimentary hotel parking.

Taxis: The approximate taxi fare from MCI to the hotel is approximately $15.00.

Shuttle Service: The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service (between 5:00 am – 10:00 pm), from MCI. However, the shuttle is based on availability and not guaranteed. Please call (816) 741-2300 to schedule a ride.

Driving Directions from Kansas City International Airport: From Kansas City International Airport, travel south on I-29 2 miles to exit 12, 112th street. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp. Turn Right on Ambassador Drive. Continue on Ambassador Drive approximately 1 mile. The hotel will be on right.
