In partnership with Indian Health Service, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is committed to helping the Indian Health Service (IHS), Tribal Health Programs, and Urban Indian Programs to maximize their ability to access third party resources. To meet this objective, CMS, in partnership with the States, the Veterans Administration, the Social Security Administration, and the IHS, provides training to patient benefits advocates on the programs and benefits available through Medicare, Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Health Insurance Marketplace.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Region VIII and the Headquarters Indian Health Service (IHS) invite you to the 2019 CMS Outreach & Education Event.

Day 3: Revenue Cycle Day Hosted by IHS

Come join your I/T/U colleagues for a day dedicated to improving quality, coordination and efficiencies among the components of the revenue cycle. A panel of I/T/U presenters will share best practices and tangible resources which further the goal of maximizing access to third party resources and improving access to quality health care across the Indian Health System. Please indicate on the registration site whether you plan to attend “Day 3: Revenue Cycle Day.”

Travel Arrangements

All attendees are responsible for making their own travel arrangements.

To make reservations, please call 800-HILTONS (or 800-445-8667) and reference the CMS/ITU room block to receive the Federal government per diem rate of $181 plus tax per night. Reservations should be made by Sunday, February 17, 2019 to ensure the rate mentioned above. Reservations at the Embassy Suites Denver Downtown Convention Center are on your own and subject to hotel availability and pricing.

Ground Transportation

The Embassy Suites Denver Downtown Convention Center is approximately 27 miles from Denver International Airport (DEN) and is approximately 18 miles from the Centennial Airport.  You have several options for ground transportation from the airports to the hotel.

The approximate taxi fare to the hotel is between $45 to $60.

Super Shuttle

Super Shuttle offers service from the Denver International Airport (DEN) to the hotel at a cost of $34 per person.

Driving Directions from Denver International Airport

Exit airport by taking Pena Boulevard then merge onto I-70 West to I-25 South. Take Exit 210A (Colfax Avenue), turn left onto Colfax Avenue. Turn left on Kalamath Street. Kalamath Street becomes Stout Street. Proceed under the convention center. Hotel will be on right.

Driving Directions from Centennial Airport

Exit airport on S. Peoria Street to E Broncos Parkway. Turn left at E. Broncos Parkway. Turn left at E Arapahoe Road to I-25N. Take Exit 210B (Colfax Avenue) and turn right on Colfax Avenue. Turn left on Kalamath Street (which becomes Stout Street) – Follow under convention center, the hotel is on your right.
